Think about it, sell the ICE, paint it white, put a less offensive spoiler on it, normal E36 bonnet and grille and it would be much, much better.

Probably not.
It's not just a BMW with a Cosworth engine/box, there's a lot of suspension work, brakes aren't cheap, the wheels are about £2200 worth, plus tyres, then there's the fact that the engine isn't standard, you'd have to make/pay someone to make mounts etc.
You could buy that, sell the bits you don't want and get it working properly for less than it'd cost you to build one to the same spec.

probs not. I remember reading that acticle in redline and i think the conversion cost alone was about £8000.
Im fairly sure its not a standard cossie lump either.
Tbh the list of faults could be rectified quite easily and you would have a very capable track car
