friend of mine has got a let and the turbo seals are on there way out where would you take it and what would you want to pay to get it done?
or would you just get a better turbo or get that one uprated?
what would be the most cost affective thing to do?

I had mine rebuilt at turbo dynamics, to rebuild it would have been about £600 but since they were replacing most oarts it was only an extra £100 to have a hybrid made of it so I went for that.
No problems with the turbo at all and its good for 1.5 bar im told (currently at 1.25)
But for that kind of money you could get some other universal turbo and a manifold made up then if it goes wrong again you can get an off the shelf turbo to replace it with, its just a case of making room in a corsa engine bay which is why I stuck with the k16 housing

i know that he wants to try and get to phase 2 in the end with it and he keeps asking me for what to do but i aint got a clue when it comes to a let the poplular mods on them is anyone give me a hand so i can explain it to him?
1.25 bar is quite alot on a let aint it i thought they only run like 7psi standard?
