this thing is absolutly massive and only shows about 1/4 of it on the TV clip, huge building round the back with gym, tennis courts, pools etc in is not really shown. the place is massive and can be seen from miles away!
the only thing is it was built next to a scrap yard on an industrial estate in Bishop Auckland - not a very nice place!!!
cost him over £2m just to build, would have been better off buying a slightly more expensive bit of land further out of the town and buildingsay a £1.5m house IMHO
take a look, even has a book coming out about it!

Why is there a fish in the swimming pool?? 
I think its a stunning house, but what really bugs me is making such an odd building in crappy surroundings.. I dont see the point. Some of the houses on Grand Designs are rediculous.

only thing I can think of is he knows something up and coming about the area
he is a local lad and does not want to move away from the area, fair play, but if it was in the middle of 10 acreas of fields and private woodlands it would have been so much better IMHO, or on the coast which is only 25 miles away

tbh doesnt look like the sort of peopl to be bothered by the scrap yard, even looks like he would be working there if he wasnt loaded
