[quote="scrote"]hope this is allowed as old skool. damn well ought to be.

.....yes you read it right....
World famous GOONYBUS (tm) is up for sale
the one and only original goonybus. much imitated but never bettered
this thing is a fooking LEGEND pure and simple
buyer must be prepared to get major respect wherever he/she goes.
even if you go to the 'ring or holland be prepared for crowds of mullet and denim wearing foreigners saying
"iz zis de famous goonybus?, we loves it"

I will be sorry to see it go but I have other priorities.
must admit that on trackdays where i've taken both the Goony and my 173mph escort, I have more fun in the Goony when I go out on track

now hopefully I don't need pics as you must have heard of thing, probably got taught about it by your teacher at school?

just to refresh your memory

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5fCyx_I5GU

also see this months Retro Ford mag ( and last months) and sept 2007 issue where it had a 6 page feature
also been in revs, Max power, CF etc etc

spec is
very good cossie engine 4x4 style
bottom end was new last year, head is fresh
big wing alloy sump
set at stage 1 for reliability
wasted spark distributorless on L8 ecu
4x4 intercooler
alloy rad
t5 gearbox vgc
custom exhaust
uprated/polybush suspension
very H/D uprated axle with LSD
285mm front brakes
recaros
custom prop
gauges
new tyres on 15" steels
lots more

now to price £2750
may sound a lot when you look at the bodywork but it's a solid car with Mot
yes you could buy a shitty sapph for that money but this is reliable and 10 times the fun

if it don't sell I will either break it for more or let it rot in the garden, which would be a great shame for such a piece of motorsport history and quality engineering.
needs a good owner who will uphold the legend, that involves lots of hooliganism, intimidation of porsches etc

be aware this car is grade II listed, so you cannot put a tiled roof on it, must be thatched.

if anyone is thinking of building something similar, let me tell you it will cost a lot more money, but if you wanna buy an uprated axle, prop etc then PM me as if i can sell the unusual bits first then I may break it...

end of an era, or beginning of a new phase? up to you!...
