If I was to buy a SORNed car around 4 hours from me, how do I go about taxing it so I can drive it home?

Well i'd of thought registered keeper would have to tax it, then you'd fill your section of the v5 in.
Thats what happened when i bought my car that was not taxed.

Yup you would have to pay the owner to tax it beforehand.

Just needs tax buying for it so it needs MOT and insurance. Not sure if you can do it with your policy if the V5 is still in the previous keepers name although you will of course have your section of that doc with your details on.
