was thinking about this last night, say i dont renew my car insurance as ill be getting my new car a week or so after i renew it (obviously wont be driving while its not insured)
but can my dad still drive it off his insurance? or does the car have to be insured for my dad to be insured 3rd party on it?

i did think that but wasnt sure. hmmm hopefully my brother will have my car off me lol. cant be bothered to insure it for a week lol.

Has to be insured. Your dad can insure for a couple of days if need be though. Failing that, renew the insurance and then cancel it after 10 days - most give you 14 days to get ur moneys back  .

When i took my policy out with Quinn they covered me, then asked me to pay within a week. If i didnt pay within a week the insurabce would expire. Easy way to get a free weeks insurance!
