anyone just see the advert

was a massive fan of life on mars, and knew they were doing this

ad made it look amazing, like a london version of miami vice

The BBC obviously saw the quattro as the key part of the show too, look at the headline in this press release

I just hope it's as good, which I'm not sure it will be as it can only be an 80s cop show, it won't have that little twist that Life on Mars did

The geeks are moaning about the car already

It's a 1979 plate, when the quattro wasn't available, the year is '81, but the car is RHD, which wasn't available until 1982, but the headlights are a type which didn't arrive 'til 1983 apparently.

That's almost as gay as the people who noticed the Cortina in Life on Mars wasn't a GXL

btw Phil Glenister (sp) said that about 2 months ago on radio 1

he said Kudos (production company) knew that, but felt the car was so important for the image, they did it anyway
