16inch alloys, lowered 60mm, badboy bonnet, tints, straight through exhaust. Lots of work done in last year (new clutch, gearbox recon, new brakes all round, starter recon) about 60,000 miles. My mate wants £1500 for it and i've told him that I think it's too much to ask imo. Would come with alarm, stereo/sub. Colour is orange. So what would you say it's worth?

i bought a 1998 punto s for £450 last week from a local dealers , 80k on the clock and years MOT, bodyworks good condition except scrape/dent on the offside wing.
£1,500 is a bit steep i reckon.

Thats what i've told him. Looks like he is going to be a bit shocked when he finds that no-one is interested in it. You can get a decent GT for that price now.

no such thing as a 1.4 sporting in a mk1 either 1.6 8v with 88bhp slow pick up or the 1.2 16v more modern with 86bhp and leads and lamba sensors are about all the goes wrong on the 16v cause the leads often are pressed onto the block by the OE air intake box so putting a performance filter on stops this and tbh for a 1.2 there the dogs bollocks you get sports seats EW CL E/S/R boot popper down beside drivers seat which is also adjustable in height with lumbar support, carnt fink of anything else or yea normal punto problem rear trailing arm bushes which isnt serious 16v's dont seem to eat head gaskets aswell
