uni is great for some people and not so great for others. I was pushed towards going to uni by the rents and have come through the first three years alright, its great fun but you must be prepared to put in the work if you decide to go, because re-sits every summer is expensive and a pain in the arse. if i was to do it again i probably would go to uni still.
You can get some good working while learning courses, especially in the construction industry if that is of interest to you.

I did a degree, 4 years in business and Marketing with the 3rd year in industry (to gain 12 months work experience)
I would say I learnt 75% from uni and 25% from life skills
I now know 100+ people from every part of the UK, europe and afar so will have plenty of connections to locations people who stay in their home town simply will not have
If you go to uni go at least 100 miles away, i know people who did it and lived at home and did not like it
I am now working back at the same company where I did my placement, very good salary, wouldnt of got here with no experience and no qualifications
Also, a degree shows commitment. do study for another 3/4 years on your own instead of having 3/4 dead end jobs is a big bonus when we look to hire new employees
if you go, dont like it, just leave
no point in going through life wondering "what if?..."
Ps - student nights out when young with folks from every different background are 101% the BEST times of your life

And spend countless hours in the office, no thanks.
Trainees get the arse end of the work, so thats 7 years of crap (inc uni). Then £30k, then £50k next year, £70+k after, and £90k+ when becoming an associate.
Most of our laywers do liek 10 hour days though, then theres all the society drinks, seminars etc... Not for me.
But then at a previous firm, a guy was studying law and he didn't want to go to uni. Was learning whilst working, and getting paid at the same time.
So theres different routes.
Agreed about the hotties though, we've got bloody loads. Mostly snobby up their own ass sluts though

I never went to Uni, sort of wished i had in some ways - missed out on the social life.
BUT
If i had gone Uni i would never have what i have now, my own house and car for one. But i was lucky in that my company payed for me to go to college on day release, with an option of going to a degree next year. So worked out in the end, best of both worlds, kinda.

Yeah tbh, having a work placement year is good, gives you a break, a chance to see what your going into and a bit of cash to spend, ive got to admit, im now in my 4th year of study and getting a little tired of exams etc, in fact im in the library now and will be untill around 9 (for the next 3/4weeks. Currently on the LPC, cost £8,500 at sheffield this year, set to go up aswell!
What solicitors you work for VXR? Fancy giving me a training contract? lol

Good choice. Sandwich courses are very good IMO. As you say, they let you have the degree and the experience.
I myself in one way wish i had applied for the sandwich course, but then on the other hand im happy with doing my 3 year full time degree and taking it from there.
Good luck

Didnt do uni, kinda wished I did cause it sonuds fun.
but I'm young and on good money, cant complain.
Same here. But the only reason I'd want to go is for the laughs I get from mates about drunken parties and fat munters they've shagged
But there are better offers out there than Uni IMO. I'd look at apprenticeships.
