My mates car, just wondered what its worth.

1996 N plate 1.4 16v Sport in White
Lowered 40mm on springs
Cat back exhaust with 3" outward rolled magnex backbox.
Tints
Air filter
15" Vectra alloys
All rest is standard i think
90k miles

Cambelt has just gone today, wondering how much its worth as it is, with the engine damage, i know it could have damaged alot engine wise.

If it was a straight cambelt failure, then it proves not been looked after because if it had been he would of known about the cambelt situation on these. So like i say probably 400 pound. You would be lucky to get 900 - 1000 when fully functional

Agree.

I bought my 1994 Corsa GSI 4 years ago for £600 as a 'non runner' because the head was removed and needed refitting.

It cost me just under £50 to get it running (full headset and bolts) and I then sold the engine for £450.

That car had receipts for something like £14k (inc one of sale @£6k) and had loads of fancy gubbins on it, it had a £2k engine rebuild 8k previously, full stainless (new), full suspension kit (new), uprated brakes, vented bonnet etc, etc.

As it stands I wouldn't offer any more than £200 for the one mentioned above.
