hi im just about to buy a corsa sport but its on the books as a 1.4 but the guy has told me it has had a 1.6 engine put in to it.

just wondering if there is anyway to tell between them so i dont go buying something i dont want.

Should have 16 stamped on to the block.

The only difference is the stamp on the block, which will say X14XE or X16XE depending on the engine.

Unless he's put a C16XE in, in which case it'll have an airflow meter in the inlet pipe, amongst other things.

is the c16xe not the gsi engine?

on the front of the engine where it meets the gearbox. its written vertical on the lip
