my mate from work has a 2ltr 8v cav, he said its 4x4 but i didn't know this was made?? . anyway i've been looking for a 8v for a while now and i want to do a conversion to a corsa with a 2 ltr 8v, the cavi is not been run in about a month but the engines in good condition, runs fine etc.

what work would i be looking at,

if it is infact a 4x4 version i would need a different box ??
theres a bit of an argument going around that a 2ltr 8v fits onto sport engine mounts is this right??
and would the shafts disks etc be ok to use on the corsa??

would be gratefull if anyone could answer these questions..

Just cut the top off the cav & the corsa & weld the corsa shell onto the cav floorpan . Simple enough

Very rare and you'll need a more appropriate gearbox.

8v Cav engine won't fit in using standard Corsa mounts.
