Quite a nice spec.

Local to me aswell oddly enough Mike.....
Mike - my Coupe is fucked
Timing chain snapped as it never had the modification done to the oil nozzle when it was serviced at Vauxhall - they are getting a phone call tomorrow to see if they'll part or full pay for the repairs.
Also, when the RAC recovered it - they scratched 2 of my 3 week old Irmy 18"s!!
Saturday night was not a good night for me!

No, never been to Marshalls, not had it a year to have it serviced yet!
It has FSH one of which I know for a fact was done at a Vauxhall dealer in Basingstoke - as it says it in the service book and I have the invoice for it aswell.
The guy from Marshalls has been delving into it today to see where I stand, there was a modification that Vauxhall did to all the early 2.2's to prevent the chain running dry and snapping, he's told me that my chassis number falls within the ones that should of been done whenever it went into a Vauxhall dealer for any work - so the finger of blame is now pointing at the Basingstoke dealer, so first thing tomorrow I'm on the phone to Vauxhall customer care to see what they'll do for me.

Oh I know who they are Mike (It's last Vauxhall service was done at J.Davys in Basingstoke >HERE<
It's had 7 services, it's first, second and fifth were done at Vauxhall dealers so should of been picked up on, the third and fourth seem to be independant garages and it's most recent two (sixth and seventh) were done by a VW/Audi garage.
But my arguement and claim rests on the fact that J Davys should of known about the modification to the oil nozzle and should of checked to see if it had been done, and if not they should of done it.
