right a friend of mine has a corsa the same as mine, but it goes through clutch cables really fast, they last him on average like 500miles max.. why is this? someone said clutch plates could be sticking.. but he said gear changes are smooth until they start to crunch.. its almost asif the cable keeps strching, and then if you tighten it... snap so any advise?...
Also, my cars for sale but its hard to advertise in the back window with the tints, so where could i buy some sticky white letters and numbers from?.. im in luton, and knda need asap thanks guys and girls hope you can help.

My 1.2 8v used to do the same,every few weeks id have to adjust the cable,then it would snap.just kept changing them i did 
First time it happened vauxhall charged me £20 just to turn the black bit of rubber a few turns 
I just lived with it

haha thanks mate, yeh his is the same as mine, x reg1.2 sxi. yeh hes been living with it, just carries a cable, fits it on the side of the road, job done ;D sweet!

try using a genuine vaux cable! If not come be down to a heavy clutch, caused by clutch cover or the arm partially siezed!
Or has he got a sharp kink in the cable somewhere because he is routing it wrong?
