went down the good old scrap yard today and picked up a gsi front bumper with fogs for a splendid £5

only problem is its abit damaged i was just wondering is it fixable, and if so how?








as u can see bracket snapped or whatever they are called! any idea how to repar them?

anyone who is a plastic welder should be able to fix that, infact the bodyshop you take it too for fitting should be able to sort it.

£5 is a propper bargain!

Personly for the cost of a new one, i would have saved myself the hassle of getting it fixed.

my main concern would be sourcing a splitter for an equally small proportionate amount of cash to make it worthwhile

Its an easy repair probaly cost between £30-40 for repair.

And splitters come up on ebay all the time for about £20

So still a bargain

alot easier if i just bought one in good nick, but i didnt go to the scrapy for the bumper just took it as it was only £5. think i will get it repaired early in the new year i find a splitter somewhere!

Even if you didnt fix it youd make more than a fiver sellin the grill and the fogs

the fogs are on my bedroom floor! is there a need for me to take a pic of these for evidence? lol! i only wanted to know how to repair the snapped bracket

Did you mange to get the bit's that had snapped? If so, soldering iron, and then some fibreglass and it should be fine . Could probably bodge it all out of fibreglass if you wanted and had a bit of time.

yes got the snapped bit, might actually give it a go! if all else fails ill just take it to the bodyshop!
