sent a letter to a local garage on wednesday at 10am

just checked online to see if it has been delivered and it says there is no information available

how long does it take?

royal mail special delivery or just recorded?

special delivery is next day by 12pm..

it normaly takes between 1 and 3 days
so it should be there by now

Recorded is just like normal mail except it gets signed for, so takes normal routes as a normal 1st class letter would take etc..Special delivery is handled differently and guarenteed next day before 1pm or you can claim your postage back.

normal mail would have been there by now

says on the site check 2 days after i posted it

i'll check again tomorrow if nothing i'll go down the post office

given a specific date of when i want the car back in the letter which is friday

so sending another nwill mean the time would have passded

Personally i'd give them a week after new year to get it sorted. That way you are not being unreasonable when solicitors are involved.
