Got a 2.2, but they can be thirsty on petrol depending on how you drive.
Also the turbo unit have a short life span if not looked after.

Bloody nice cars overall though

Thrashed, not serviced regularly - the normal signs really.

Not much to really look for, the drivers eat will creak, check headlights for condensation on the inside, bodywork is problem free unless it's been repaired badly at some point.

Any turbo car will be bad on petrol mate.Don't expect more than 25 MPG i'd say unless you drive it like a fanny...if you have had a saxo then you will get a shock.

As said headlights mist up..and ask wether the turbo has been replaced under warrenty etc if possible get in touch with the last owner and ask him stuff. That's what i always do and it has saved my bacon a few times now!

They are very nice cars. I sorely miss mine. MPG is not too bad, I averaged around 26-27mpg around town with the occasional blat. On motorway drives it was easy to average well above 30mpg (Usually 33-34mpg over a long drive).

This was on a remapped car.

I'm averaging 20-22mpg in the Zafira now though, and only 28-29mpg on motorwy drives. The extra weight and aerodynamics obviously makes a massive difference. And I'm booked into Courtenay on Friday for yet more power so am expecting it to drop even further. Another reason I miss the coupe.
