im looking at bying a DAP go kart, with a 100cc engine (direct drive)
Just have a few questions that i cant seem to find answers to...
Is it normal for DAP chassis to be orange?
Is £350 about right price for a mint chassis with the engine in pieces ready for me to put back together?
hopfully there is some keen kart racers on here somewhere...

have u had a direct drive kart before. as starting them is a cunt if it aint got a clutch. i would look at buying a pro or thunder kart if i was you . slower but can be just as fun, no hassle with starting just give them a pull and off they go. or look at getting a rotax max but are dearer than your 350 price thou,

its quite true the first start of my direct drive can be a bit of a job but once it has started once it goes ok the rest of the day but as said they can be a git even more so if you are trying to set them up

Don't go by chassis colour they can change.... although they used to be Red.
What you need to ask is....
is it straight?
what spares
How many bores has the engine had/whats left?
what safety standard does the kart meet, given the latest asa you might not be allowed to test on some tracks.
and what do you want from it... good cheep fun r dedicaed racer? that should make up your mind!
