yeah I understand what you mean, I dont wanna leave because I know renault's inside out and all the boys are a great laugh but if they try and be arses about the wages, got to look after number 1.


Edit - Iv only been here 2yrs n 4months. so its still 1yr n 8months to go til the apprenticeship time is up lol

As said - pretty scandalous how much they pay really. I was on about the same wages unskilled working for a supermarket a couple of years ago!

Personally I'd stay in the job you're in at the moment for say 6 months (gain experience running your own dept), then look to move on if the situation's not looking any better - the experience is good to put down on your CV if nothing else.

i think £6.50 £7 would be fair..
its taken me 7 years to work my way up to £9.50
mechanical, garage trade is appauling as far as pay goes

First year apprentice sheet metal worker: 4.00ph
Tesco cashier (2 jobs proper grafter :look 9.00ph
Apprenticeships are crap for pay even though you work as hard as the person next to you on properly double your wage But a skill is a skill at the end of the day
