racing my ktm 125 exc today, did half a lap and it seized! had the rings done about 8 hours of use ago, and have noticed a slight bottom end rattle so therefore am assuming thats what has gone.anyone have any idea of the cost to get the bottom end rebuilt?how hard would it be to do myself?

thanks!

tm's are known for being a tad pricey. absolutely beautiful bikes though, they ride really well to.

yeah,it is indeed a little stroker. looks like i'll be having a bash myself then! parts dont seem to be too bad to be honest. partly why i chose the ktm, because of the availabilty of parts. thanks for your help people!

cheers for the invite boyracer2002.would take you up on that if my bike was going but doubt it will be that quickly with work and shit.i'll give you a shout in the new year about going riding though!cheers!

2 strokes are ever so simple! i rebuilt my old RM250 with no trouble and no major exsperiance, and the great thing about 2 strokes is yo dont need to use a ring compressor!

BUt if it is the rings which have gone there may be some damage to the block and piston so it may need a new piston and the block bored and having a new dry liner put in, but get it apart and have a look! Post photos up on here, i am sure many people would be happy to help!
