Why do payments take sooo long to go through now? I used to pay for stuff on eBay with Paypal and it used to go straight through. Now it seems it's like a cheque (or eCheque as I think it's called) and takes days and days to clear, and therefore obviously the seller wont send the item out before the payment has cleared.

You need to verify your account mate, then it'll let you make immiediate payments, have you changed your card recently?

echeques have always taken days to clear, clear funds do go across straight away
