ok so its wont be finished until 2009 but thorpe park really seems to be coming along, and dare i say it but with this new coaster better than alton towers?
its a eurofighter btw, theres 1 at southend but thats on a much smaller scale and there is 1 in wales i believe:

Mother fucker, that looks awesome!
I agree that Thorpe Park is fast becoming the betetr park. It's nowhere near as well themed but for rides it's top notch.

The reason Thorpe Park is being used for the bigger rides is due to a height restriction at Alton Towers. They can't build above the tree's. Hence why Nemesis was built in a big hole., and Oblivion goes underground. The people that own TP own AT, so they are laughing either way.
I'd like Universal or Six Flags to build a whole new theme park here, the market is there. Maybe a land and weather issue though.

nath if only six flags would build a park over here, cant see it happening though way too much planning restrictions for them 
however thorpe park was recently bought out by merlins, and six flags got a certain % from what i understand.
anyway eurofighters have a 97° drop, basically beyond vertical
