Off to look at an SXi 1.2 tomorow and the asking price is 3k..
The mileage is 55k though which put me off a little, is this price/age normal for this type of mileage?
Its completely standard as well and is 2003, not sure on any other details as I havnt actually been to see it yet..
Just wanting to know really if this price is a little high for the car?

tbh its not bad a price for a corsa c with 55k on a 03 plate, id offer £2750. make sure all electrics work and the indicaters flash as they should as with my 54reg i had a stuck relay.

Sounds like a fair price. Mileage is normal for its age so I wouldn't be worried. What colour? Black, dark blue and silver are better IMO and worth a few quid more.

Yeh I will try and knock the price down a little..
Another quick question.. What are the main things I should look out for/check?
Edit: It's dark blue

check the gear linkage for play and make sure its easy to get in 1st and 2nd
go in complete circles in full lock both ways and check for any cracking (cv joints)
any cv joint grease on inside of the front wheels (cv boot clips broken)
has it had the abs rework if it does have abs
usually it has a green paint dot on the abs multiplug or a red rework sticker on the slam panel
also check for noisy timing chains and if it needed a modified chain ( also a green paint dot on the rocker cover, timing chain end)
hand brake free? poss frayed cables
radio switches on and off easy enough
horn paddles work
any knocking noise from steering ( worn internal rack bush and tie rod ends)
knocking over bumpy ground (anti roll bar links)
rear tyres on inner edge feather and can be felt as raised and lowered blocks of tread (makes a noise like a wheel bearing has gone)
think thats about it

nope lol
done a few 4th services now and had a bill of around £800 for the customer waiting for them
tbh a c with normal mileage is better than one with say 20k on the clock as they will have had the problems done in warrenty
instead of failing around 4 years old

Might be a bit cheaper because it's a late pre-facelift
