Alright Peeps,
Need some help with the car I shall briefly explain whats happened may be all linked to the same problem may not be, but any ideas or advice would be greatly received.
Fitted a power box inlet about two weeks ago do 200 miles with it on so far. two days after fitting it the EML came on and stayed on for the rest of the journey.
The next time I started the car the light was not on and didn't come on at all.
Yesterday I drove the car home and the it died on me. As I appraoched a juction cluched the car and the revs went up then slowley down, the next time I cluched it the revs dropped all the way down and the engine stalled, it done this twice more on the way home.
I read the fault code which came out as being 43, which the guide says is a Primary Ignition (distrubutor system) High Voltage fault.
I also noticed last night that some of the HT leads where arching to the rocker cover when the engine was running.
Drove the car this morning and it was fine.
What is going on ?
I drive a 1.4 16v sport, N Reg believe it to be a X14XE engine.

Right, on read various threads I tink it might be the idle control valve.
Can this be cleaned without removing it from the car ?
I can get acces to the two breathers on the trottle body as the TB has been moved cus of the inlet I have put on it.

Change leads first port of call, but cant c this bein linked to the revs goin up and down, unless it was missing at the same time it was fluctuating
