On the way home from a mates flat (driven the same route 100's of times), on a NSL road doing about 45 and slowing down for a 30mph village, gently braking for a bend, slowed to about 30-35 into a bend then the back end lost grip (think i hit a patch of grease/frost/ice) and the car ended up sideways down the middle of the road
I put full opposite lock on but it was too late, slammed into the kerb at about 15-20 mph and tore a grass verge up
Looking back at the skid marks, they were white on the road until a big black patch on the kerb, would white skid marks suggest something on the road??
moral of the story: Drive carefully guys, and take care

Hope you didn't do too much damage to the car. Glad you're ok and nobody else was involved.

had a look around the car this morning, seems like its just picked up a load of mud down one side and a huge chunk on the wheel where it ploughed the verge.
Lucky no-one was coming the other way really, theres a few spots along the road with bunches of flowers (presumably previous accidents) so it seems to be a bit of a blackspot, theres a few bunches right opposite where i hit the kerb
Thanks guys

Have you checked your rims for any cracks or damage? Just give the car a quick once-over to make sure nothing's bent.

thanks for the advice ash had a quick look around and everything seems fine, just covered in mud. I'm going to take it to a garage to get the tracking checked as it seems a little off and I'll explain the situation to them and ask them to give it a once over for me
