When i needed a runabout i bought a Cav 1.8.
Give £500 for it on an M plate. It was a minter aswell. Nice runabout and you can throw all your shit in it too.

screw cars get a van. My n plate 1.7 td astra van cost me £100. Drives like a dream, is actully pritty quick on boost up the slip road and its fuck all to insure.
plus iv earned about £400 in the last couple of months just shifting the odd thing for peolpe. Not bad for a run about i brought as i didnt wanaa drive my clio so much

Depends on tyres. Thats the problem with the grip. Lowered stiffened and independant suspension works a treat.
The VVC tro's are very, very quick. £800 isn't a bad price, depending on bodywork. A mint one went on e-bay ready to drive for £1200 last week.
