Went to vaux today to get a cavy throttle cable and they wanted £55 exluding VAT for it . Something about being special order. And about £20 for an exhuast gasket .

Rather high prices aren't they? Or just because they've stopped making bits for the redop engines now?

I thought I used the cable from the Calibra... Hmm

And I paid that for the exhaust gasket. Nearly threw up on the parts desk when he said that price

I wish Nic, went to EK's and they can't get them in because the company they get parts from never actually made much for the redtop engines. Only reason I went for vaux for the gasket was because ek's have never ever sold them for that engine

I'll try homebase on friday when I go to collect my gasket from vaux. Trying to save on the fuel bills at the mo after the egr valve got stuck open with some random metal wedging it open so it drank 20 litres of fuel in about 70 miles

Do you need to modify the corsa one? If so I will prob just use a cavy one to save my self the hassle or bodging the corsa one.

Would a cavy v6 one be the same as the c20xe one?

So basically not much point then. It just makes it look pretty having a cavy cable?
