astra 1.6 16v is about as quick as a 1.4 sport up till 90 but after that the astra carries on, i had 120 out of my old astra which was pretty standard. they r quite a bit bigger than the corsa but still handle well

I'd probably have the Astra over the Corsa imho.

But purely because I'd like a bigger car comfort wise.

But I'd see if I could stretch to a 1.8 instead.

i fancy a astra because if i get another corsa its just gonna be the same as the one i have (same boring dash ect) but a bit quicker and different colour.

i have seen a few astras with very few mods and look stunning

what bhp does a 1.6 astra have?

arnt they around 90 bhp as apose to the 106 of the corsa? my standard sport just about matched my mates astra sxi, probably a bit better on the lanes but a bit worse on the mway

Also consider, you want a quicker car. I feel the Astra would be safer at quicker speeds as well. Better for carrying friends, luggage and what not.

If I got a new car and it was a Corsa, I would at least get a C, otherwise I'd look at other Vaux models.

the astra's are nice cars, tend to have better interior etc. just engine wise, like for like they're slower than the corsas. if the 1.8 is a possibility then go for it i say.

this is the colour i will be going for if i do decide to get one.

just been looking up the 1.6 16v and it has 99bhp which is not that much less than the 1.6 corsa sport which will still feel a lot quicker as my corsa is only a 1.2 8v
