You'll know when it turns up, if it works, then your player plays region 1, if it doesnt, then it doesnt

Even if you get around it being Region 1, you'll need a TV/DVD player capable of showing NTSC as well as PAL.

Look on the back of your player, its should display which regions it plays. If you see no globe with a 1 inside you're out of luck!
