we have radiators and stuff, its just theyre too tight to switch them on, theres also fumes in the showroom and our office from work theyre doing to refurb everything

Awesome. We had a ram raid at work, so we have a shitty wooden door, can't see out, so have to leave it open. We turn the heating on to max - god knows what our carbon footprint will be.
Might just go home next time.

They dont have the radiators on in our place as they had to use them through the summer when the place got flooded to try and dry the place out.
They're tight as hell on spending.

"In a press release at the height of this summer's heatwave, the TUC warned that the lack of a clear maximum permitted temperature in the workplace means that many employers are confused about what they must do and when they have to act. The TUC would like to see a maximum working temperature of 30 degrees centigrade, or 27 degrees centigrade for those doing strenuous work. The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 provide that the "temperature in all workplaces inside buildings shall be reasonable during working hours". A "reasonable temperature" is defined in the accompanying code of practice as one which provides reasonable comfort without the use of special clothing, although the guidance fails to state a maximum temperature. The law on minimum temperatures is clear and unambiguous - 13 degrees centigrade for strenuous work and 16 degrees centigrade generally"

What about people that work outside then? My dad wouldn't be able to earn a living through the summer.

I was wrong about the max temp.
Its a suggested temp, not law
"The new guidance does not suggest a maximum workplace temperature but reminds employers of their responsibility for assessing risks to their employees' health, safety and welfare"
