their cars will be scrutinised to ensure there were no faults, they will also have their mobiles checked for any action at the time of the incident. Add on top of that an eye test as well - but to be honest nothing will come of it as the police have already stated that they would have had no chance.

My cousin hit and killed a 14 year old girl in Stoke earlier in the year; he didn't see her, she was in dark clothing on a dark section of a busy road another car actually hit his front bumper trying to avoid her, but she stepped back to avoid that car and went up and over his bonnet - he had to have all of the above checks and was under police bail for 3-4 motnhs; all charges were dropped but he still has to go to the inquest when it's held - it's effectively put his life on hold!

Good point.

I'd stop, wouldnt you?

Yes i would stop, i wouldnt take them home tho due to the accusations it would cause, i would hope kids would refuse to get into a strangers car anyway.

Id wait on the safe side of the barrier with the kids and phone their parents and/or the police.

I'd get them the better side of the Armco or my car. The police had been called and were probably hacking it there anyway.

Sorry the only people who I feel sorry for in this are the car driver's who will be mentally scarred.

The boys should of fucking known better / been better educated by their parents. Just reminds me of the kids who put bricks on rail way lines and get hit by trains... use your common sense.

Well he probably isn't considering that he lets his 7 year old child go out on his own to play on his scooter on a motorway.

Not far from me.

Pretty silly of the kids though for doing it, but that again their parents should have been a bit more strict and kept them in. I mean it was dark by seven, and there's 2 kids in a quite rough area of the town playing near a busy motorway.

At that age I would have been well in the house playing with my Tracey Island toy. I wasn't even allowed out the top of the road at that age .

They were reported missing, so could have just ran away for whatever reason, school, home etc. No-one will ever find out probably.
