Just got a quote back from HIC for insurance with Chaucers on a 2000 reg VW Golf GT TDi 115 at £2794.
I'm only 19, passed in February with one accident at fault. I think that's a really good quote or can it be beaten?
If not i may just start saving up for a new car...

Probably not. I'm only bored and looking at random quotes and that came up. I thought it was quite good for the car and my circumstances.

I never had and never will. It's pretty much free money for the insurance companies. I've never claimed. Istill think £400 on the pug is too much but that's life.

THATS CRAZY,
i was pissed off having to pay 1700 after i got my licence back. that the only reason for having to pay that sort of price.
if you dont crash or that for the year then you have just basically handed someone 3 grand for nothin.

But the car is nothing special. If i was on a good number per month then yeah i might strech to 2k per year on insurance but that would have to be on something special like a Range Rover Sport.
