dad just got some new rubber on the back of his car......
lost it going round a roundabout at 30
no crash but was funny as fook! He was screaming and i was a cross between a cowboy shouting yeehaa and peter griffin.
Anyway the point is because he's scared of driving, dont new tyres get their proper grip after a few miles? Or even like a mile at most?
Dont know why the car went it just slid out, was quite weird

well tyres take time to bed in! I'd give them at least 100 mile to bed in b4 i start thrashing.
Depends on the make too!

Should have done burnouts out of the tyre garage tbh
I had 4 new Michelin Energys (which are shit anyway) and new disc pads. That was interesting last year.

i thought that if you raped it a little it only took a little while to bed in... but thats when i got front tyres and have an xe....
was mental! Dad was going in slow mo ohhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiit!
people doing roundabout works looks impressed seeing an s2000 drifting past them with two people with homer simpson hands by their chins going 'Ooooooh!'

I could be a mile off but i'm sure its something to do with the process of making them, they use some stuff to get them from the mould or whatever, which gives new tyres a lining of something not too grippy. I may have just dreamt all that up though.
All i know is, beware when new tyres are on, whatever make they are.

Do a burnoutand light them up a bit. Some heat will do them good Or he could drive easy on them for a while.

Yea! Thats the case...but also the rubber needs to bed in, look at motorsport! Same principle as there just road tyres last alot longer and take alot longer to bed in! Now its getting colder and wetter, it'll take even longer for them to bed in than normal too, unfortunately!

It's mould release agent, which is pretty similar to covering you tyres is car wax.

pah at least you have 4 tyres to keep you on the road. You want to try scrubbing in a set of bike tyres in the winter rain
