If I wanted to give a car 12 months MoT but it's certificate doesn't end until December 4th could I MoT it now?

You could do it now, but it will only have 12 months MOT from now.

However, if you did it on 4th November 2007, the certificate would last until 4th December 2008.

you can do it within 4 weeks of expeiry I.e from the 4th November on wards to get an MOT vaid until 4th dec 2008

you can mot a car at anytime but the mot is obviously only for 12 months after that date

it will be valid from the date issued , and last untill the original expiry date
