i have the 1.4 8v single point injection engine in a 1998 corsa b and i was wondering if the mounts, shafts, hubs and anything else are the same as the 1.6 16v engine that comes in a corsa b? I know id need the ecu and the manifolds to convert but what else ?

You would need a new rad, ect aswell, loom and ecu, and someone might correct me on this but you can use the 1.4 gearbox.

16v fuel pump too
and maybe drive shafts, but not sure
1.6 sport brakes or better wouldn't go a miss too

So manifolds, ecu, loom, radiator, starter alternator. But what about the engine and gearbox mounts?, are those the same?

you will need a non acon front drivers side mount.

you cant use the 1.4 gearbox trust me a few weekends i found out the hard way once i had the engine out ready to swap over.

can use any gearbox inc the 1.2 aslong as you use the correct flywheel/clutch

well watever gearbox i had on my 1.4 spi, presuming f10, wouldnt go on my 1.4 mpi even with the flywheel and clutch assembly swapped over, the starter is further out on the mpi to allow the larger flywheel. therefore the smaller spi flywheel could not be swapped over as it would not mate properly with the starter.

just get the 1.6 gearbox mate its more hastle than its worth fucking about with it all.
