a mate of mine's just rangme up f'ing and blinding for being caught speeding.
Been given 3 points and 60 quid for doing 49 in a 30. In all honesty he said he was accelerating out of the 30 into a 60 in the space of 30 metres so i think he's a bit unlucky.

BUT - for the first two years - are you ALLOWED 6 points, or do you get banned ifyou GET 6 points

What im asking is - do you only get it taken off you when you go over 6?

nah I believe when = 6 points license is removed...

so another 3 and he's done...

I think it's when you hit 6 then you lose it. 5 is ok, 6 is not.

Works a lot?

A mate of mine had an E39 Touring when he was 19 and now has a CL500 that he got when he was 22.

by working my arse off from 17 and emptying my bank accounts, and getting me dad to help me with insurance through his work


edit - and yes steve - at one point i was working every night after 6th form 5 hours for 3 months. Hard but good.

to be fair, shudnt really accelerate till after the sign. lol

so 49 in a 30 is a straight up pointage. cant really argue with it unfortunately =[

most insurer's wouldn't insure someone that young on a car like that...

I'm not talking about the money it'd cost to buy the car or anything.

He's explained it tho as he's obviously on his dad's companies insurance (as if he's like a worker and the car is a work vehicle) ... lucky bastard

Tbh mate, the way I see it he is lucky not to have had worse basically doing 50 in a 30. But yeah, if he gets another 3 points he has to resit all tests. Tell him to be more careful and keep his nose clean
