it doesnt make a blind bit of difference the min is 12 months ban !!

my brother tried everything after being caught only just over the limit the morning after and the judge said he cant go lower than 12 months no matter what

my brother was a debt collector and had to take my mum to physio after a stroke all of which went tits up with the ban

good luck though

Definite ban I'm afraid...you could have the Pope as a character witness, it's still a minimum 12 months ban (down to 9 months if you spend the £££ and do the course)

Well I got done 6 years ago, and the judge had nothing to say about it (might have changed now mind you)

Either way, I would think being 'just over' (i was 52 IIRC) would see the course being offered

doing the course costs around £200 and reduces the ban by 1/4 so if its 16 months its reduced to 12 etc.

i blew 52 im afraid to say worst thing iv ever done and dispise the fact i did it. its down to the judge if they offer the course i paid 125 i think for 16 hour course got me the ban down to 9 month and some insurance companies that will deal with you solong as you provide copies of the certificate you receive.
since then i dont drink drive or even drink if i know im going to be driving the next day, and if its a party i make plans not to drive for 2 days after aswell sounds odd but when youve sat and done the course its scary...

The course cost £110 for me....hmmmm

Quite a money spinner that, esp when you have a criminal record and your DNA on record too.

A three year ban for a second DD offence within ten years aswell

If you get caught twice you should be instantly banned for life.

Once being slightly over the morning after I can understand how easy it would be.

Twice means the 1st punishment obviously wasn't good enough.
