Mates are all out in Glasgow tonight , celebrating Scotland result etc. I'm probably not because I'm working at 7am tommorow morning (overtime) and am too knackered after working overtime at night during the week .

The money is good which is obviously why I am doing it but dont really know if its "healthy" to work so much

40 hours OT last month, regular 12 hour days... depends how much you enjoy your job.

and how much overtime pay is for you tbh

I dont get overtime pay...however find myself sat in the office for 2 - 3 hours extra everyday either because of work to be done, or when i could have finished traffic would have made my journey an hour longer.

However in my old job i did 102 hours overtime in 2 weeks on top of the 12 hours per week i was in, made me ill, rarely did overtime again.

At the end of the day if your feeling tired and sluggish and putting off the things you love doing, dont do it

You'll know when you've worked too much.

I worked 7 days a week for about 2 months and one day just realised it wasnt worth it regardless of the money.

i've always reckoned that overtime is something to be done every now and then, when you needed the extra money. but when you start doing so many hours overtime as pretty much standard is when i know i'm working too much, if that makes any sense, which is probably doesn't.

earlier this year at one point we were working 14 hour days for afew weeks, including saturdays and found on the sundays off that i was just too tired to do anything. overtime is all well and good for extra money, but whats the point if you're too shagged to enjoy it?

ps, i realise my view of ovetime may be a little more naive than everyone elses

I want a job where I get paid to sit at home drinking tea & eating chicken ceaser wraps. I'd maybe even do overtime if the money was right

Any over time is too much.

My job you don't get paid for any extra hours you work so I make sure I come in on time and leave on time.

If you really need all the extra money then stick at it but if you can live without the extra cash, cut down the hours and enjoy yourself.
