Are the S3 fuel bills really that bad?

I am thinking of buying a 52 plate in November. Have 10 grand for it.

still think you should have gone for the 140 as its a better drive

I average about 24mpg at best.

Black optics is nice. But not overly fussed about it. Dont want to start going down the modified car route again
