My camera broke, so I don't have pics yet, but jesus my car is a fine example of the above.

Needs 4 plates welded in at the passenger side rear arch
Needs 2 plates welded in at the drivers side rear arch
Needs the drivers side rear chassis leg plated
Needs the front cross-member welded on

And the rest of the car is a solid as it left the factory, don't know what the fuck happened with it. Just the area around the back axle that has rusted, front cross-member is only there because of a dodgy crash repair.

BTW, if you don't want to find rust on your car, don't take a screwdriver and ram it in about ever crevasse you can find

£170 back in the days of no money. Spent near £500 on it recently to get it back on the road, so it has to be finished.

Aye, most parts are being replaced, and theres fuck all rust once this is sorted

Shep, fucking right, it was sitting in a field for two years that fucked mine up, and the fact the previous owner had fucking 17"s on it

Right, pics. Brace yourself, its quite nasty, yet very easy to fix (Mostly)

Drivers rear 1

Drivers rear 2

Passenger rear 1

Passenger rear 2

Passenger rear 3

Passenger rear 4 (Big motherfucker, easy fix though)

All of the above will be plated up easy, will be done within an hour probably.

Now, the chassis legs

Good one, passengers side

Bad one, drivers side

And of course the cross-member:

Shouldnt take too long to fix it all, easy welding.

once welded get them sealed up as well as you can might be worth cleaning up the underside and in the arches and re-sealing the lot ?

Yup, all the underseal will be stripped off and re-applyed, once the welding is done

BTW, i was told at work today that waxoil can be pumped into the chassis legs, stopping them ever rusting?

Good luck if you expect to weld that in an hour a day mabe but not an hour

Looks pretty rotten and once you start hacking away at it to find clean metal your gna find alot more rot mate trust me

just about to say that - looking at the surface you think yeah a small job but once you start you find it to be a lot more excessive - i would question whether its worth doing at all
