seems a bit weird as the engineers are ment to be some of the best in the world but totally didnt bother to try and get it to go around corners and like some said a scooby with half the power is still faster around the track.

I thought the first episode was quite boring but out of the three cars they took to find the best roads in the world I would have to have the porsche with the flat 6 engine and the bright green paint job and then the v8 (I dont think captain slow showed the cars full potential) Aston Martin and finally the Lambo which is too square looking for me just does not appel to me one bit has nothing of intrest about it what so ever and as Dame Helen Mirren said people who drive them are "dickheads"

But thier vw
Most people who are into cars know that amount of bhp and torque going to the rear wheels is going to be a problem plus the short wheel base.

Its a bit american to make car like that

the point of the golf was to show that it was possible to make a super car in form of a hot hatch.

i'd take the aston over the other 2 for its raw power,i bet it was great to drive just not over long distance in hot countries, just stick a comfier seat in it an it be great fun.

i agree that it was a boring episode not a lot happening. thought it was funny blaming 5th gear for the fire though

wheres that come from? this thing has like 600bhp doesnt it?

Yeah but it was about one second slower around the track than an STI.

.5 quicker than an STI and the Monaro VXR, .2 slower than the WRX STI WR1. Not bad for a car that's not had the handling set up as well as it could be.

to stop it wheel spinning they've limited the torque in first and second, but it gets switched off once you hit third (and the rest of the gears).

Love the car, but i think it's a bit too much like the Clio V6 - quick in a straight line, but not too hot around the corners and has zero practicality.
