Thought id found my next car so done the sensible thing & got an HPi done on it. Jades cousin works for VW so gets them done along with a report of any time the cars been in for a service etc.
HPi report came back clean but...
VW service log indicates that the car was owned by a company for the 1st 3 years, clocking up 70k miles.
then it was sold to someone that had it a month, then sold to the current keeper.
From there on the service log says it was servced at
80847 miles in May 2004
90037 miles in August 2004
90038 miles in October 2006 & that was the last time it was serviced!! 
The car is on Pistonheads advertised with 87k miles
I very nearly bought this without any checks aswell, but was held up getting to view it so had it checked out by the cousin in VW.....very glad I did now!!

2001 car, company owned until 2004 with 70k miles.
Sold on & owned just 1 month
Then sold again & does 10k in 3 months then 1 mile in 2 years.
Now it has less miles than the previous 2 services.

i read it as that was the only times it had been serviced, why is it shocking that it got serviced 1 year ago ?
its possible its a typo on PH, or a typo on VW dialog system

Its ok anyway ive seen another one im going to view tomorrow morning. 8th one ive phoned/viewed!! Black, 2002 model, 130 bhp, 3 door, Leather.....sounds a good one.

Its not shocked me it was last serviced a year ago, I can handle if it s due one now. Its the contradicting figures that botheres me!!
Could be a typo but theres 2 entries that give a higher mileage than is showing now!!
