bought and built a decent corsa,
and the end cost was about 6k, inc buying the car, and all the bits etc etc
if you sold the car and all the bits, what end amount would you be happy with?
what would you expect to re-coup and be appy with

Depends how long it was owned really. I put £4k.............but thinking about it could be a bit less in real life measures.
I spent around £8k on my impreza(5500 on car and around 2500 on bits), owned it 18 months then sold it for 4k :lol

When i had the 2 litre done i sat and worked out how much i had spent, includeing the price of the car i spent 5.5K. Thats covering the different wheels and subs and what not. I got back 2.8K Was happy with that

there is no 2.5 option i'd pick that.

Cars will never hold value. You will always loose a lot of money.
I'd say depending on the state that the car is in about 2k.
You could make your own for a little more than 3-4k depending on what exactly you want it to be, then that would mean your own personal work and how you want it to look, rather than how someone else has made it look.

You spent 6k on the silver sport?? after buyin it and parts??
i managed to sel mine for £2400 and mine was immaculate on throughout, but then again i bought it for £1750 and spent max £500 on it

and can ppl read the post? its what you would expect back if you sold the car std and all the parts seperatly.

if you dont mind me asking what did you buy that totalled up to 4k in parts??
id say £1800-£2000 for car an about same on parts as there second hand and tbh most people will be expecting the parts to be for sale at half the rrp price

short list,
2 sets of alloys and tyres
all new brakes 2litre redot disks pads refurbed calipers , braided lines etc
all parts that are vauxhall were replaced with gen vaux stuff
new arch plastics, wiper arms, all timing gear, water pump coolent sensors and thermostat
all aftermarket parts were refitted with new bolts and gaskets again genunie vaux
so dbilas inlet, janspeed exhaust manifold
magnex full system
new cat
whole car stripped cleaned and rustproofed
new font bumper sprayed in,
new badge's from spain vaux.
headlights, tail lights, harneses.
cat 1 alarm and immob
the list goes on and on,
im not expecting to make my money back.
im just asking if you sold the car std and all the parts, how much would you be happy with.

tbh it depends on the car. id expect for just a engine modded silver 1.6 sport to be 2.5k
