Went to get car tracked as i recently had a puncture and had to replace to front tyres, but when they did it they only altered something on one side of the car, i asked why they hadent done both sides and his reply was, you only need to adjust it from one side.

Now it looks like one wheel sits a bit further out than the other.

Load of bollocks.

If you adjust one side, the other needs to be adjusted to keep it inline with the one thats moved.

sounds fine. if the steering wheel is straight and one wheel is correctly tracked then it may have been just the one side that needed doing.

the guys that have the equiptment and did the work will know better than anyone that replies on here as they were there, under your car.

If in doubt take it to another (reputable) garage, get it checked again, if they need to adjust it just ring the garage it was previously done at and let them know you are having it re-done and you are returning for a refund.

accurate measuring tools are far more reliable than judging it by eye.

if you are that concerned about it (would need to be a fair way out to judge it by eye and if one wheel was out it would pull all over the road) then take it back.

I went there because my car is lowered 50mm and i never bothered to get tracking done before and tyres wore down.

Went to get it done and they did one side only, I would have thought as the car is lowered that both sides would be affected.
