Been asking around about springs for my car... and I have been told by people that I should get a suspension kit (shocks + springs) although I have also been told that it's a very uncomfortable ride and that you feel every single bump in the road with aftermarket shocks....?

what where you expecting it to be
And it depends hugely on the quality of the suspension bought

spring's will be worse, it will be really bouncy, and handling wont be all that good either

as someone who has just moved over to coilovers, i would say you have to be realistic about the way it will feel afterwards.
yes it does take the finesse out of the ride quality, yes it upsets the missus, but fuck me is it fun to drive...
on standard suspension my car was really boaty and wallowed all down the road - no chance round corners!!
but now - it feels so much more connected to the road, even tho it does ride pretty hard on crap roads... its soooo worth it imo, since i can corner hard without that 'am i going to roll it?' feeling... lol
dooo it... transformed my car 200%

Standard suspension tried to kill me
Mine's lowered 40mm on Bilstein springs and shocks, it is a harsher ride, but it's been smooth enough for me to deliver strawberry tarts for the past 18 months. The only ones that didn't survive where because of heavy breaking
