im also getting sick of being stitched up, split up with g/f for 2 yrs and i really need to get out.....last week mate said he is off on holiday 3 of us.....and said he is definately off and can definately get time off...i went thru all the brochures and agents to find a deal..then find out that my mate cant make it..pissed me off....other night there was supposed to be 3 of us going out again, we asked him and he said yeh im definately up for night out....on the day, he finished work and never called us...so i called his g/f phone and he picked up and said he was skint...wtf he wouldda known...its shit to be in a situation, when u make a promise stick to it...

I would ask your mate if he wants a pissup, and go fishing next weekend.
Thats bollocks, your fishing mate will know hes not your first choice. He'll feel 2nd best and then feel like he has to tag along and fit in.
Never ask a friend to change their plans for you. Go fishing, if you don't then you don't deserve to be his friend.

What if you ditched your mate and went out on the pull... only to come away empty handed? You'd feel shitter than ever.
