So where's everybody off to then?

We've just booked ours to L'Alpes D'Huez for 2nd week in Jan.

Had a few snowboarding lessons but never been on holiday before. Will need to get a few more trips to the snowdome booked in before now and then.

Need to buy all my gear too, any recommendations for places to look? Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to look like a plum!

Get some walking boots for L'Alpes D'Huez

I'm going to Val Thorens at Chirstmas. Somewhere else in January that I can't remember and Val Thorens again in Easter

Skiing

Can't wait!

I'm in the process of making some skis up too for one of my trips

Booked a chalet in Meribel over New Year

Need to get my knee sorted out. I caught the edge of my ski last year and it hurt like fuck. Still a bit sore and goes stiff

Meribel's probably the best i've been to for ease of getting about.

Went to Zermatt beginning of this year and it was pretty shit. Had to walk for ages to get to the lifts.

we have indoor snow in glasgow, all it does is wet the appetite and makes you want a mountain!

Think we are going to france this year, and maybe bulgaria again at the end of the season(cheap and cheerful)

Take it the lifts are a bit of a trek then? Whats it like as a resort?
