my old man had one back in the day, go like rockets. I used to drive it when i was 17 and compared to my nova it was soooo fast

Hobby car really, they seriously are an unknown french performance bargain, certainly with a lot of character.

Same engine 150/155bhp engine as the 306 S16 in early cars, later cars fitted with the 167bhp lump from 306 GTi. These cars have a kerb weight of 1150kg iirc, do the math

Very powerful brakes, could nearly put your head through the window lol. A lot more powerful then my current leon cupra and certainly better then my old wrx.

Made a lovely throaty sound, best steering feedback ive had from a car, and twitchy but rewarding handling in the hands of the right driver.

thanks fruitbooter, never seen one on the bay, its white as well

Sounds like a shitter, but maybe a good rebuild project if the bodywork is good which it should be as galvanised iirc.

little pointless fact but the 'infamous' 16v badge on the saxo rear quarter this car was actually the first to wear it in 93 lol.

The ZX 16v was 3 door only with a decent 'at the time' bodykit, of course they have aged loads now but still a lot of character imho.

^^ yea we had another 1.4 white one sat for about 4 years and it didnt have any rust on it, it just turned green wioth mould lol

The volcane was the lukewarm version tbh.

had the 1.9 8v from the 205 GTi and the later 2.0 8v from the 306 Xsi.

didnt have the bodykit and was 5 door, dont think it had the brakes either as I had the 1.9 volcane a long time ago and dont remeber it being as sharp in terms of handling/braking but could have just been wear and tear between the cars.
