Just so I don't have to deal the the DVLA

Bunch of fucking idiots the lot of them

After they transfered my plate off my car (which was a proper pain in the arse) I recieved a new log book. I had told the guy who came to inspect the car (to aithorise the plate being taken off) that it wasn't going back on the road & showed him the reason why. He agreed & said it was totally foobarred

Got a fine a few months later for not having SORN's it. Even though I hadn't been sent any forms to tell me I had to

Wrote back, explaining the problem & why it hadn't been done. I genuinely didn't know because they hadn't told me to or sent me the right documents to do it

Didn't get a response. That was in about May

Just got another letter now with an even bigger fine

Didn't get a response from my letter, although they said one had been sent

Asked them why I hadn't been told to tax it & they say that they don't have to tell me, as I should already know

The reason they came to inspect it was because it wasn't road worthy & the inspector even agreed that it wasn't going on the road again. I recieve no letter telling me to SORN it & then get fined because I haven't done it

May as well headbut the wall of the DVLA office than speak to the people inside it. So fucking annoyed

The DVLA works in mysterious ways...

Do anything wrong and they're onto you within days BUT when you need them to help... ooh no

Generally have been ok but I did go to their local office the other week to transfer my plate and, dispite only me being in there, I was told I had to take a ticket and queue before being seen

Pisstake or what

I completely agree - I got fined for not taxing a car which was on bits on a shelf.

They're complete wankers.

I have had this problem many times. Owning 10+ cars doesnt help lol Ipay as its not worth the hassle of argueing.
