Generally yes, but it's worth it IMO

How old are you? I was paying £2100 on my classic Jap WRX @ age 21. Cheapest I could find.

I only had 1yr NCB and only been driving for 2years. You'll find scooby's are more to insure than celicas too tbh.

Classic shape phase 1 was 208bhp. They then face lifted the model but it was still 208bhp so be careful. Then came the face lift phase 2 which had 215bhp and came with 4 pot front calipers.

There were a few special editions too:

Catalunya - To celebrate the rally win, black paint with gold flecks and STi seats. 208bhp

Series McRae - To celebrate Colin McRaes WRC, standard wheels but in gold, Recaro seats instead of the buckets. 208bhp

RB5 - To celebrate Richard Burns WRC, Steel grey paint as found on the STi, Speedlines, alcantara embroided seats. 215bhp

Prodrive Performance Pack available on the RB5 - Stainless exhaust with 1 cat removed, ECU remap, Prodrive hosing. Takes power to 237bhp/250bhp dependant on fuel used.

WR Sport version available which includes PPP, plus Prodrive wing, colour coded side skirts and plaque.
